Management Team
Alan Langston, President
Alan Langston is the founder and president of ARPOLA, the American Rental Property Owners and Landlords Association. With members in all 50 states, ARPOLA represents the unique needs of rental housing provider providing education, information, support and buying power to its members. As an owner of income producing property in multiple states for over 25 years, Mr. Langston brings an awareness and experience level necessary to ensure rental property owners are provided the information and support they need to effectively and profitably operate their property.
Mr. Langston is very actively involved in issues affecting rental property owners and real estate investors serving as executive director of the Arizona Real Estate Investors Association since 2002 and as president of the Phoenix Real Estate Club. Mr. Langston founded AZREIA in 2002 and ARPOLA in 2009. The organizations currently provide services and support to thousands of real estate investors that belong to the associations. ARPOLA, a nationwide association, provides services that assist members in reducing the cost of property management, simplifying management tasks, improving management decisions and minimizing vacancies. AZREIA with chapters in Phoenix, Tucson and Prescott, supports its members though education programs, networking events, a member referred Business Associate Program and over 100 discounts. Both organizations have an active and effective government affairs program. As president of the Phoenix Real Estate Club, Mr. Langston conducts highly interactive networking meetings to keep real estate investors up to date on market conditions.
Prior to founding ARPOLA and AZREIA, Mr. Langston spent 25 years in executive management positions, domestic and international, with IBM including sales, marketing, brand management and operations. After IBM, he held the positions of Executive Vice President, VIP Tone, and Vice President of Sales, National Computer Systems.
Rebecca McLean, Executive Director
Rebecca McLean is currently Executive Director of National REIA, REIA of Greater Cincinnati, and Greater Dayton REIA as well as Assistant Vice President of the Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Apartment Association. She has extensive experience coordinating the Building Better Communities Program, a joint venture with the City of Cincinnati. She has written programs that are being utilized nation wide for community development and creating partnerships. These programs have been recognized throughout Ohio and beyond, as evidenced by the Ohio Community Policing Governor’s Award of Excellence for Special Needs Initiative, the NAA Victor Award, the ASAE AAA Award and the CSAE statesman award.
Rebecca is originally from Southeastern Kentucky. She attended Union College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration with minors in English and Economics. She graduated in three years Magna cum Laude. She interned as an accountant at Evans, Phillips, and Associates and upon graduation moved to Lexington, KY to join J.C. Bradford & Co., LLC., a regional securities firm.
Through a family business Rebecca has owned and managed as many as 18 single family residences and two commercial buildings which provides a unique perspective on managing real estate associations.
